As some of you already know this recent update is not one that I am happy to report.
Due to and uncooperative ladder, small attic access, and a VERY stubborn inspector, an accident that happened months ago has resulted in a necessary shoulder surgery.
As of May 13th I am going to be out of commission for what I have been told, ( by my doctors ), is 6 weeks at best, 12 weeks at the worst.
Believe me I am not happy about this at all and as far as I'm concerned, it will need to be 6 weeks at the worst.
As they put it so politically correct, "Being in your 6th decade the damage will require surgery and will not repair on its' own".
In simple terms: I'm getting old and I can no longer depend on my body repairing itself.
THE GOOD NEWS: If I do everything that I am told, I will have 100% mobility / recovery.
Once the Covid 19 situation has stabilized and a new normal has been established, I hope to see our community and outlying areas exhibit substantial growth. I expect both young families and and older couples will be looking for rural and suburban areas to live in.
I deeply regret not being able to participate at this time but I assure you that I will be back 100% ASAP.
I also plan on taking this time to refine my reporting and making things easier to understand for all parties involved.
All of you have been wonderful to me and I look forward to getting back out there and serving you and your clients.
Please do not hesitate to call me if there is anything I can do to help you or your customers.
Inland Northwest Home Inspection provides professional Home Inspection services to prospective home buyers. Our professional home inspector is available to inspect your property and accurately report the condition of the physical components and structures within the subject property.
Inland Northwest Home Inspection reports objectively in writing related to the condition of the property and all subsequent physical systems involved.
An Inland Northwest Home Inspection is an independent, unbiased review and report on the phyical structures, systems, components and their condition. Consumers and real estate professionals should expect no less than full professionalism, education, competence, credentials, knowledge, and courtesy from Inland Northwest Home Inspection Service, your professional, certified home inspector.
A detailed home inspection usually takes two to three hours or longer, depending on the home's age and square footage. We recommend that you be present at your home inspection so that you can ask your inspector any questions and to look at any areas needing maintenance or repair.
It is a very good idea to have your potential home, property, or new construction properly inspected by a professional home inspector. Having an inspection can save you thousands of dollars in possible repairs that you otherwise would have not found out before buying the home or property.
The following protocols are being implemented due to COVID-19.
The health and well being of all parties involved in the transaction is by all means is of the upmost importance to INHI. The following protocols are already in place and are being followed: (This applies to all inspections already on the schedule thru 3-27)
1: CDC and common sense recommendations including washing hands frequently, social distancing and no direct contact with people will be strictly observed.
2: All tools and equipment (this includes shoes) will be disinfected with denatured alcohol or other disinfectant before entering the home.
3: Gloves will be worn during the entire inspection and will be disposed of off site.
4: All surfaces that INHI comes in contact with during the inspection will be disinfected before leaving the home.
5: In order to minimize contact with personal belongings ALL INTERIOR ACCESSES (Attics, Crawlspaces, Electrical Panels and Furnaces) MUST be cleared of any belongings. (I will not clear a closet in order to gain access)
I would greatly appreciate it if the following information could be supplied for all future inspections in order for me to make sure that all proper precautionary measures can/will be observed:
A: Is the house occupied by the home owner or renter or vacant (if vacant how long)?
B: Is there a business operating in the house that has customer foot traffic. ie: hair/beauty salon. (work from home & home office's do not apply)
C: Please include any additional information regarding the home and/or its occupants that you feel is pertinent.
These protocols are subject to change without notice and are not meant to be discriminatory in any way. The intent of these protocols is to protect the health and well being of all parties involved.
Customers are encouraged to rely on the inspection report. (INHI will have extended telephone hours in order to review the inspection report with customers). If the customer insists on being present, than meeting outside the home at the end of the inspection is recommended.
These are difficult times but I am confident that all of us working together will be able to make the home buying/selling experience comfortable and safe for all parties involved.
